WHY RESTORE HEADLAMPS?

As we are all aware the headlamps play an important part in the safety of today’s vehicles which is why VOSA include the lens clarity and beam patten as part of the MOT that all vehicles are subjected to. 
Modern vehicles use a plastic lamp lens as they give a better transfer of light as-well as holding a very accurate beam pattern so that the drivers have a clear view in low light conditions. 
Over time the plastic lenses can develop a build-up of micro scratches which allow for dirt to accumulate. The imperfections on the lens usually show as a mist and/or yellowing of the outer surface. As this occurs drivers can find that the bulbs fail prematurely as the heat can become less able to dissipate, the visibility will become impaired when driving in low light conditions as well as the light pattern shining in to the views of oncoming traffic.
The overall look of the vehicle will also be affected as the lamps start to look aged and ultimately damaged. 
At Sussex Auto Pro Valet, we have developed a process that can restore the outer lamp lenses back to new condition restoring the efficiency of the lamps and drastically improving the overall look of the vehicle.
Having wet sanded the lamps followed by a 4-stage machine polish, we apply a scratch resistant layer of protection to the outer surface which gives a pristine appearance and will last for years to come.
