With the best will in the world we all pick up those annoying, expensive scratches and blemishes which not only look unsightly but have a negative impact on the value of the vehicle. At Sussex Auto Pro Valet we have perfected the process of polishing the scratches away.

PREPERATION

The preparation is key to the end result and so we always ensure that the vehicle being treated receives a full snow foam soak, hand wash, chemical decontamination, mechanical decontamination (clay bar). This will ensure that the absolute best results are achieved once the wet sanding and polishing proceeds.

WET SAND AND POLISHING

West sanding is not as aggressive as it sounds. The Wet sanding is an extremely fine abrasive that allows for the scratch to be levelled and take away the sharp edges of the blemish making it instantly less visible. Once complete the affected area will appear misty and dull which means that the polishing can begin.

4 STAGE COMPOUND POLISHING

A compound polish is an abrasive polish applied by machine polisher otherwise known as a "Mop"
The process allows the user to gradually restore the painted surface back to, often better than showroom condition. It is common to use up to 4 different grades of compound to really make the surface pop but most importantly be defect free.

A UNIFORMED FINISH TO THE ENTIRE VEHICLE

When correcting scratches, the affected area, once complete will almost always stand out as having a perfect finish. Now you can be in a situation where the once damaged area will show up the rest of the vehicle. Sussex Auto Pro Valet wants to leave the job looking its absolute best so we look to complete a full vehicle ultra fine machine polish so that we can be confident that the entire vehicle has a smooth, uniformed finish.

SEALING AND REFINISHING

Now that the damage has been corrected and the vehicle has a perfectly even finish, we apply a paint seal/glaze which will now add protection from the elements and give longevity to that stunning finish. This will be followed up with a Polymer wax which adds unrivalled UV protection whilst maintaining a showroom shine for at least 12 months if maintained correctly.
